Let's have a garden party!
For Nancy's next afghan workshop we're taking a deep dive into color with Dee Hardwick's Cottage Throw.
This stunning throw is worked back and forth in rows. There are 6 separate panels, three colors per panel. The chart is identical for all 6 panels. The panels are then sewn together and narrow borders are picked up and worked in seed stitch.
We will begin by making color choices, then learn stranded knitting using both hands, followed by seaming the panels together and finishing up the border. Nancy is a trained artist, and is excited to incorporate the use of color values, tones and contrast into this workshop.
If the weather is lovely, we can sit by the water out back and knit.
The class will be held on Sundays from 3 - 5pm
April 14, June 2, July 28 and September 8 (FULL)

The pattern is from the MDK Field Book Volume 25: Botanica. The entire book is included in the cost of the class.
Knitters should be comfortable knitting and purling.
The pattern calls for worsted weight yarn.
