BEGINNER BOOT CAMP is a series of 5 introductory classes  that  guide you from start to finish through 3 projects, each building in difficulty and adding new skills and techniques upon the last.
By the end of the 5 classes you will be knitting like a pro and will have completed a cowl, a hat and a pair of fingerless gloves.

Interested in the process of turning fiber into yarn? Join us for an introductory class to spinning wool with a drop spindle. In this class you will learn the technique as well as yarn construction, plying, making a skein, and setting the twist with your very own hand-spun goods.

This sweet accessory has a bunch of different techniques, which making it a joy to knit.  Designed to represent the city of Amsterdam, it features a folded hem, slip stitch pattern and geometric fair isle motif.

This pattern is beginner brioche friendly, and adds a new spin to the technique – working it in the round. This will fly off your needles and prepare you for more challenging ways to work brioche. Next up – the brioche cowl.

STEEKING!!

Steeking is a technique where you knit something in the round, without interruption, then cut your knitting to make a flat piece. Sounds terrifying? In this workshop you will demystify the magic! It is so fun!

This cozy cowl takes brioche knitting to a whole new level. It is worked in the round with two colors, and includes a faux cable pattern, which creates a spectacular design. You’ll never be intimidated by brioche again!

INTRODUCTORY WEAVING

If you are a yarn lover, rigid heddle weaving may be the best thing yet for quickly using up stash in a new way! Cricket looms are easy to transport and simple to decipher. They work with a variety of different yarns, so possibilities of colors and patterns are endless. In this 2 part class, we’ll cover all the basics and get you weaving on your own.

Using two contrasting colors, you will learn brioche in it’s simplest form.  Upon completion of the scarf, you will speak the language fluently (BRK, BRP).  This scarf will be the squishiest accessory you have ever made! Follow up with the “Brioche Hat” class

Payment in advance reserves your space in class. Class fees are non-refundable. You may cancel your registration up to 2 days prior to class in order to receive a store credit-no refunds will be issued. When you sign up for a class we make a commitment to our teacher for that specific class-therefore we are unable to transfer you from one class to another. We do not offer make up classes or reimburse for classes that you miss. Classes with less than 3 students or bad weather conditions will be cancelled and payment will be fully refunded or a new class will be rescheduled. Thank you for your support and understanding!
